Henry Cavill the star of Man of Steel in a recent interview with Peter Travers revealed the roles he applied for and failed to secure in an interview with abc News. Henry Cavill is now on his boom and things are getting better and better for him as he turned 30 this year, but he wasn't so famous back in the days. He admitted that he applied for a lot of roles, including various famous roles too, and got rejected a lot of times. So now we know that securing a leading role isn't a piece of cake even for the stars of a time. But he looked quite at peace with all those rejections, even though he may be frustrated at one time now he looks back and thinks that things work out fine for him after all those years.

Henry Cavill who started his career in the movie Count of Monte Cristo explains in the interview how he got the role for Superman and how he got rejected for the Roles of,

James Bond in Quantum of Solace
Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and Goblet of Fire
Edward Cullen in Twilight

Seems pretty interesting isn't it? And he admitted that he got really sad and blue at the time but eventually he moved on and went for auditioning for the other jobs. He said in answer to the question of not getting to play James Bond that, "Daniel Craig absolutely nailed that role and was best man for the job. I don’t care if I don’t get the job if the best guy for the job gets it.". Nice and Easy isn't it? and this should be this way because Daniel was actually good for the job. But for Twilight he told that the authors really liked to picture me in the role of Edward Cullen, but for whatever reason I didn't heard from the Twilight Team. Furthermore, he explained how he got the role for Superman in the Real Steel and how he initially missed the call from Zach Snyder at first and took his time to understand that he actually got the role.

All and all he sums up pretty good and he looks pretty deep into his character as Superman, Zach Snyder does have some impact on the actors as you know. Now Yahoo has followed, Facebook and is going to buy tumblr for $1.1 Billion and it will be operated separately. Yahoo made the statement, "Per the agreement and our promise not to screw it up, Tumblr will be independently operated as a separate business".





Marissa Mayer the Chief Executive at Yahoo decided to spend about 1/5th of their fortune (5.4 billion) on tumblr to attract the young readership and it could be a big gamble as told by analysts that it is too big of an investment from the side of Yahoo. But you have to take risks, considering how Yahoo remained a good investment than Facebook in the previous quarter we hop yahoo performs better this time too with their log term investment in tumblr.

Abercrombie and Fitch is a big name in the clothing industry and it is known for the amazing muscular models who wear Abercrombie and Fitch. The targeted audience of Abercrombie & fitch is the cool, handsome and well built sexy people. The company's culture tells it pretty well, and the people know it from the start.
But there was a public outrage when the CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch said that out loud, NO CLOTHS FOR UGLY PEOPLE!



Considering that he ain't so pretty himself his statement seems a little harsh,

"In every school there are the cool and popular kids, and then there are the not-so-cool kids. Candidly, we go after the cool kids. We go after the attractive all-American kid with a great attitude and a lot of friends. A lot of people don’t belong [in our clothes], and they can’t belong. Are we exclusionary? Absolutely. Those companies that are in trouble are trying to target everybody: young, old, fat, skinny."


Giving this type of statement is absolutely blunt and depressing for old, plus size and ugly people but it could motivate them to look good or improve their selves too. Even though the public outrage at social media was huge, but the stock prices got a little higher by 0.35 cents even after that.

Recently announced Raquel Pomplun is getting too much attention after becoming the Playmate of the year. Raquel Pomplun is 25 years old and was Miss April 2012, and surprisingly she is the first Mexican ever to win a title.


In an Interview she said,
"I can’t begin to describe how excited I am to receive this honor and be given the opportunity to represent Playboy as its first Mexican American Playmate of the Year"



Apart from the the title she also won one year lease on a 2014 Jaguar F-type and the title money which is $100,000. She told that she is grateful to Playboy for giving her the title and the experiences of a life. And my vote says that she had many rough experiences over the years at Playboy, JK!
